I swear I keep trying to make comebacks to blogging. This is Josh, I added myself as an author so it's a little more clear who is posting. You'll have to check out my new blog. Eggnog-n-Cheese. Wanted to share some really good foods I enjoy.
Anyway, this Andy guy from SNL usually has some good skits. I get the biggest kick out of this one. So Batman like.

I have not updated for awhile. I am currently voiceless. I seem to lose my voice at least once a year. Not fun... actually I dread the winter season because that means the flue and cold for me. (the flue shot has never worked like it should) As for Josh he has a perfect immune system (without the flue shot) and has not got sick since we have been married. (I am a bit jealous). We spent THanksgiving up in Idaho. So much fun!! We had everyone there except for Eric and Anneli. One day.... the whole family will be together. WE ATE, Josh went hunting, ATE, played games, ATE, bowled (surprising the Rigby bowling alley was clean), ATE, and enjoyed each other company.... Oh we saw Twilight as a girl outing. Oh I LOVED it.
Preston is really getting such a cute personality. He is so happy and so much fun to be with. We started feeding him and boy oh boy he LOVEs his food, which is no surprise since he takes after his daddy. ;) He is also sitting like a professional. I just love being a mom and watching him grow up.

I knitted this little treasure. Well, I am a little planner, if I may add that tid bit, because I actually knitted this before I met Josh. It was my project that 'one day' I can have my little baby wear it!! And look I had a little boy that fits it. I am quite proud of myself. It only took me about a year to make.
Life is busy around here. Josh is working crazy hard at school and I keep getting put on-call at the hospital. Yes, the economy is even effecting me - a nurse. Who would have guessed? So I spend my days finishing up my schooling and watch FOX news, and of course holding Preston all day.
Oh so I have to add that Josh and I have fell in love with Tyler's recipes on food network. I go to bed thinking tomorrow I get to eat Tyler's enchiladas or parmigiana chicken, or meatballs. He is my fav!!

Oh another Halloween has come and gone. I wish I loved halloween, but it is such a creative holiday and I am lacking creativity lately. I am amazed how people make their own costumes... my hat goes off to you. We were invited to a dinner and Josh wanted to go all out and dress up, but I was running on little sleep from my dear sweet babe who likes to wake up every three hours.... (if anyone has any tips how to get my babe to sleep all through the night I am open ears!!!) I was so tired I mistakenly thought that the butter was actually cheese and took a big bite out of a butter cube. Anyway Josh found this great goldfish costume (which I hope Preston will continue loving me even though I put him in this outfit) which tied us all together as a family :) It was a nice low key Halloween with beautiful weather!!
Oh the top picture is of Josh and Preston going to church. Aren't they just adorable together? Oh and I have to put in that Josh is so amazing because he woke up with Preston last night and fed him so I could get a solid 5 hours of sleep. Hurray!!

This Thanksgiving I am going to play a duet with Melanie, and my mom is going to accompany us. I have not seriously played my violin in 7 years, which is so sad to admit, but I wanted to "show off" for Josh because he has never heard me play. I also thought this was going to be an excellent moment to interact with Preston and show that his mommy can do something musical. Also music can make a baby smarter right? So I waited until he woke up to play the violin. Right when I started playing he had the biggest frown. I comforted him and then started to play... Again he gave me the biggest frown. WHAT??? I thought I played well or I should say I sound appealing to some ears. Well, if you are in the audience come Thanksgiving at church please don't frown at me when playing the violin.

IDAHO..... What more can I say?
Josh wanted to make Preston into Friar Tuck for Halloween... Well, his hair didn't last till Halloween Day. Darn because he would have been such a cute little monk.. He was starting to bald on top PLUS he was bald in back from rubbing his head in the back so his hair had to go. Now I am obsessing that his head is a bit flat since I can finally see the shape of his head. I can now see the plus side of having a bald baby. It is just like having a new baby because he looks so different, but still just as cute! We are all battling Preston's earache. ARGH!! It is so hard because I am lacking my sleep. It is now where I realize that I nor Josh nor Preston is sleeping well. Poor little man... the doctor gave an antibiotic and told us to give tylenol and a pat on the back and good luck. We are managing!!

Okay I have mentioned how I am having a hard time going to gym because I would rather hold Preston... Well, I discovered this exercise workout that is PERFECT!! I am saying that out of being completely sore from just doing week one. There are three different workouts and they build on one another. Today I thought I would pass out because my heart has not worked out for awhile. It is perfect for me since I am trying to get back to where I was before having a baby. I love it so I have decided to be its spokeswoman and advertise the DVD.

This is Josh making a comeback to blogging!
So I picked up another job (part time). I really wanted to get my resume filled with something other than veterinary experience (that's pretty much all I have) to get into the business world. The ward we've lived in has some very successful guys so I started asking around if they knew of any positions/opportunities available. Turns out one of them is a part time owner of a starter company called Zoobies. So I took it and go in M W F for 3 - 4 hours. There are about 7 of us and it's based out of Provo. I am really enjoying it! Since there are so few people and they are only in their second year I get to work with the owners, marketing, design, finance etc. people. The exciting thing is, they only launched last year and they already have 1,500 retailers they sell to nationwide and also sell in 30 countries. They'll do several million in sales this year. So they've got me doing customer relations, retention, marketing, sales, software integration... I am definitely more excited about being in the business world for my career. Anyway, check out the website below. You may have already seen/heard of them. It has gotten a great deal of exposure and awards.
Just last week I heard that Boyz II Men were coming to Orem, UT!!! Performing at an outside venue about 5 min from where we live. Right away I got tix and told other fellow fans. Through the years their songs have been listened to so it was pretty cool to see them perform. So many classic jams. 'Water Runs Dry' 'On Bended Knee' 'End of the Road' ' Motown Philly' 'Song for Mama'. They sound incredible live and put on a sweet show - they've been around 17 years. It always bothered me seeing these concert goers all emotional and freaking out...but I have to admit I got pretty amped up at this concert. I guess you really can connect with your favorite artists. I was honored to have it be Preston's first concert. We went with my best bud John Hatch and his sweet young thang Becky. They're so in love. I didn't get any good pics of them because they weren't turning out well. But I thought this one would suffice.

This last saturday we celebrated my last saturday as a free woman. I am going back to work this weekend. Now Josh and Preston can truly bond all day while I am at work on Sat and Monday. I wanted to work the night shift, but I just can't shake off being a morning person so back to working days it is! We are also moving back to Provo come this Monday. I just pray that this is our last year in Utah. I guess I am ready to try a different place since I have lived here for about 5 years. What else is new.... Preston is getting bigger. I am now calling him my chunky monkey. He is such a content baby and smiles and sleeps like a pro. I have started the slow process of trying to get back into shape, but is it just me that I would rather stay home and hold my little baby than workout? Oh I am starting my last nursing class!! I only have those darn other classes like econ, stats. Soon it will all be over with school for me! Poor Josh still has a couple more years left, but it is exciting to see the light at the end of the bright tunnel soon!!

So I have become a fanatic with taking pictures of Preston. It has been pretty nice staying home all day with my little guy. I am due to return to work on the 30th and I am dreading it more than being excited. It will be just two times a week and I am sure that Josh can take care of Preston perfectly while I am away. Oh and we are due to finding a new place to rent come mid September. So things are moving right along and moving faster than I would like. It has been so nice living in this home over the summer. We plan on staying in Utah one more year for Josh to finish up school and then we are off on another adventure. Who knows Arizona might be calling our name. Our next big trip is back to Idaho again. My dad is pretty good at luring Josh back saying that fishing season is so much better in September. All is well in our little family and I am just loving being a mommy!! Oh and I am trying to finish reading Breaking Dawn. For some reason I am not into it as much as the first book where I could NOT put it down. I just want Bella to turn into a vampire already or have her baby.

Baby Preston was blessed on Aug 3rd. His outfit (I must say) is just so darn cute!! Josh's mom made the outfit, which I must say is timeless. Also the blanket behind him is what my dad made. Also he did have a little knitted jacket along with the outfit that my mom knitted. So basically his whole outfit was made out of love!! Josh made a yummy Argentine meal. I thought it would help me out over the blessing weekend if I had him be in charge of the Sunday dinner. It was amazing, but what else would I have expected from him!!

I haven't posted for awhile and thought I would give an update. Preston is growing FAST!! I am about to head up to Idaho with just Preston and I. We are going to spend a week up there just doing what we do best which is just relax around the house. Josh is coming up later to go fishing with the boys for a few days. My brother David decided to do Preston's hair and I thought the face with the last picture fits perfectly with his hair style.
